The global EV charging market has a bright future with numerous opportunities. The expanding customer base and government regulations are encouraging EV companies to provide more flexible payment options for charging EV batteries. With Cloud-Connect EVC, the partnership between CCV and ChargePoint facilitate the seamless implementation of these payment solutions.

A Partnership built on core elements of EV charging

CCV and ChargePoint are bringing credit and debit card payments to the EV charging industry with ChargePoint’s be.ENERGISED CPMS and CCV’s payment solutions for EV charging.  With the Cloud-Connect EVC solution, we are providing an easy-to-understand interface for EV drivers to pay for a charging session, as simple as checking out at a grocery store, without the need of online accounts, mobile apps or charge passes/tags.

CCV is an international payment solutions provider servicing over 600,000 businesses with end-to-end payment solutions across Europe. For EV charging, CCV provides payment terminals which can be integrated via cloud or via hardware into the charging stations. For the Cloud-Connect EVC solution, CCV uses the Open Charge Point Interface (OCPI). A protocol known by all in the EV-charging industry, it is designed to simplify communication between charging station networks and mobility service providers. With the recent DirectPayment module, OCPI makes it easy to integrate direct payments into Charge Point Management Systems (CPMS), a toolset most businesses are utilising.

ChargePoint, a leading provider of networked charging solutions with more than 300,000 EV charging solutions under management, is also a representative on the board of the EV Roaming Foundation, the founding organisation behind OCPI. ChargePoint has contributed to the development and improvement of OCPI, and also on the Direct Payments module.

A future-proof payment solution for all EV drivers

CCV has been providing payment services to a wide range of industries since our inception in Arnhem, Netherlands back in 1958 with a focused team delivering solutions for EV Charging payment for almost 10 years.  Our unattended terminals, such as the all-in-one IM30 and the compact IM15 provide payment for end-users in applications such as EV-charging, Parking, Vending and Retail.

As CCV is taking care of compatibility and integration with the payment terminal, it’s also easy to exchange or upgrade the payment terminal in the future with a newer model.

Through the cloud-based integration between ChargePoint’s be.ENERGISED and CCV, the solution can be constantly improved and kept up-to-date with new regulatory and end-user requirements, giving operators and manufacturers more room to focus on their core business of managing and producing charging stations.

ChargePoint's be.ENERGISED platform is a mature and scalable solution supporting the future of the EV charging sector. The be.ENERGISED platform is compatible with more than 900 charging station models, supplied by over 100 leading manufacturers from around the world.

A Future-Forward Partnership

As the requirements of the EV industry continues to evolve, CCV and ChargePoint remain committed to delivering innovative, customer-focused solutions. This partnership ensures that EV drivers across Europe will keep enjoying the convenience and efficiency that has come to define modern EV services.

By working together to shape the future of EV, CCV and ChargePoint are positioned to lead the way in offering seamless, technology-driven EV experiences.
